India - A Manufacturing Hub

Manufacturing has emerged as one of the high growth sectors in India. With the Make in India program and incentives for manufacturing, India is poised to be a global manufacturing hub and fifth largest manufacturing country in the world by the end of year 2020 as per estimates.


Domestic automobile production increased at 7.08 per cent CAGR between FY13-18 with 29.07 million vehicles manufactured in the country in FY18.

The Indian auto-components Industry has experienced healthy growth over the last few years. The auto-component Industry of India has expanded by 18.3 per cent to reach at a level of US$ 51.2 billion in FY 2017-18.

Oil & Gas

India retained its spot as the third largest consumer of oil in the world in 2017 with consumption of 4.69 Thousand barrels per day (mbpd) of oil in 2017, compared to 4.56 mbpd in 2016.
